Restricted entry and transit
Nationals of Malaysia and Taiwan (China) will be refused admission and transit through the country.
Passports
Valid passport required by all.
Visas
Required by all except the following: (a) nationals of Mexico for up to 180 days; (b) 1. nationals mentioned in the chart above and nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Iceland, Israel, Korea (Rep), Liechtenstein, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, San Marino, Seychelles, Singapore, Switzerland, Tunisia and Vatican City for stays of up to 90 days for touristic purposes only; (c) nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan, China (PR), Georgia, Korea (Dem Rep), Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine for business visits of up to 90 days; (d) nationals of Macedonia (Former Yugoslav Republic) for stays of up to 60 days; (e) nationals of Belarus and Bulgaria for stays of up to 30 days; (f) nationals of Hungary in the territory of the Republic of Montenegro, tourist passes and identity cards issued at the border crossings, for touristic stays of up to 90 days; (g) nationals of Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Russian Federation, Slovenia and Ukraine in the territory of the Republic of Montenegro, tourist passes and identity cards issued at the border crossings, for touristic stays of up to 30 days.
Types of visa and cost
Visit, Business and Transit. Fees vary according to nationality of applicant.
Validity
Visas are valid for one month from date of issue and cannot be postdated. Transit visas are valid for seven days (to be used within six months of issue).
Application to
Consular section at Embassy (see Contact Addresses section). Tourist passes can be issued at the border, or on arrival, for all eligible nationals (see above). However, as regulations are subject to change, travellers are advised to check with the Embassy prior to departure.
Application requirements
(a) Completed application form (stating whether single- or double-entry or exit visa is required and giving the length of stay). (b) Valid passport. (c) Letter of invitation or an invitation/receipt or authorised tourist company certifying that the travel arrangement has been paid for, verified by the competent Serbian and Montenegrin authority. (d) Fee payable to Embassy in cash or by postal order. (e) Medical Insurance. (f) Return ticket (g) Proof of sufficient funds. Business: (a)-(g) and, (h) Letter of invitation from host company or evidence of self-employment.
Note
Visitors not staying at hotels must register with the police within 24 hours from arrival.
Working days required
24 hours, unless application needs further referral.
