Currency
US Dollar (US$) = 100 cents. Notes are in denominations of US$1000, 500, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1. Coins are in denominations of 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1 cents.

Credit & debit cards
Major credit cards are accepted in some establishments. Check with your credit or debit card company for details of merchant acceptability and other services which may be available.

Travellers cheques
Accepted in some places, particularly US Dollar cheques. All cheques are liable to a 10c stamp duty.

Currency restrictions
The import of local and foreign currency is unlimited, subject to declaration. The export of local and foreign currency is restricted to the amount declared on import.

Banking hours
