Climate
South Carolina has a temperate climate. Spring and fall are the most pleasant seasons. In winter, temperatures generally average 40-45F (5-7C) in inland areas, and 55-60F (12-15C) by the shore. Summer temperatures, modified by mountains in some areas and by sea breezes in others, range from 75-85F (24-29C), and can reach as high as 90F (32C) and above.
