Currency
Netherlands Antilles Guilder or Florin (ANG) = 100 cents. Notes are in denominations of ANG250, 100, 50, 25, 10 and 5. Coins are in denominations of ANG5 and 1 and 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1 cents.

Currency exchange
There are two banks on the island.

Credit & debit cards
MasterCard and Visa are accepted in larger establishments. Check with your credit or debit card company for details of merchant acceptability and other services that may be available.

Travellers cheques
To avoid additional exchange rate charges, US Dollars are recommended.

Currency restrictions
There are no restrictions on the import and export of foreign or local currency. The import of Dutch or Surinam silver coins is prohibited.
