Currency exchange
The Bank of the South Pacific in Alofi, the only commercial bank in Niue, can exchange currency.

Credit & debit cards
American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are accepted in most hotels and resorts. Contact your credit or debit card company for details of merchant acceptability and other services which may be available.

Currency restrictions
There are no restrictions on the import of local or foreign currency. However, there are restrictions on postal notes, money orders, cheques or promissory notes in New Zealand currency, which must be declared to the Westpac Banking Corporation in Niue.
