Air
Airlines serving the Northern Mariana Islands include Asiana Airlines (OZ), China Southern Air (CZ), Continental Airlines (CO), Japan Airlines (JL), Korean Airlines (KE) and Northwest Airlines (NW).

International airports
International airports: Saipan (SPN), situated 3 miles (5km) south of Chalan Kanoa. Taxis are available to the town (travel time – 15 minutes) and tour buses may meet some flights. Airport facilities include bureau de change, refreshments and car hire (Budget and Hertz). There are smaller airports at Rota (ROP) and Tinian (TIQ).

Departure tax
None.

Sea
The international port of the Northern Mariana Islands is Saipan. The following lines sail there: Daiwa Navigation Co, Nauru Pacific Line, Oceania Line Inc, P&O, Royal Shipping Co (PO Box 238, Saipan), Saipan Shipping Co and Tiger Line.

Road
There are good roads in and around major island centres. Bus: There is a public shuttle bus service to major shopping facilities from hotels. Taxi: Available in all main centres. Car hire: Self-drive cars are available in towns; US driving laws are followed. Documentation: International Driving Permit or national licence accepted.
