The terminals are within walking distance of each other; there is also a shuttle transfer service, which leaves from level 1 of the multi-storey car park.

Help and information desks are located in each terminal on the upper and lower levels (tel: 954 359 1200 for airport information).

Money and communications: These include ATMs and bureau de change facilities. Photocopying and fax facilities are available in Terminal 2. Eating and drinking: Passengers can choose from a wide variety of restaurants, bars, cafs and snack bars at the airport. Shopping: Duty-free is available in Terminal 4. Luggage: A luggage transportation service is available on the upper and lower levels of each terminal and garage. Other facilities: These include shoe shine services and a mediation room.

All terminals have facilities for disabled travellers. These include disabled toilets, courtesy telephones with TTY facilities, ramps and lifts. Disabled parking is available in all parking facilities, with wheelchair-accessible shuttles from the remote car parks.

The Hilton Garden Inn Fort Lauderdale (tel: 954 924 9204), located just minutes from the airport, has a 24 hour business centre as well as four meeting rooms and one board room for hire. The nearby Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel (tel: 954 920 3500) also offers business and conference facilities, with 16 meeting rooms equipped with high-speed Internet access, available to hire.

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, E-Z Rent a Car, Hertz, National, Royal and Thrifty all have desks on the baggage reclaim level in each terminal; passengers can also book a car using courtesy telephones. Shuttle buses operate from all terminals to take passengers to car pick-up areas. A new multi-level consolidated car hire facility will open in 2005.

The garage complex provides covered parking with direct access to all terminals, with short- and long-term rates available. The Park N Save and Tower Lot are available for long-term parking; there are free shuttle buses to/from the terminals 24 hours, daily. Valet parking is available in the garage complex (tel: 954 359 6931).

The airport connects to the Florida Turnpike, I-95, I-595 and US Route 1. Take the State Road 84 or the I-595 and turn onto SW 29 Avenue for the Park N Save car park, or follow US Route 1 south to the airport Perimeter Road for the economy car park.

Road: Taxi: Taxis and yellow cabs are readily available, including wheelchair-accessible vans. Tri County Airport Express passenger sedans (tel: 954 561 8888) provide a door-to-door service. Check with the Transportation Podium located on the lower level outside each terminal for both these services. Bus: Tri Rail feeder buses and BCT Mass Transit (tel: 954 357 8400 or TTY: 954 357 8302) operate daily services from bus shelters located at the west end of Terminal 1, east end of Terminal 2, between Terminals 3 and 4, and the east end of Terminal 4.
