Information and Help Desks Malta Tourist Information (tel: 2369 6073/4) is located in the Welcomers’ Hall and is open 24 hours a day. Additional information is available online (website: www.visitmalta.com). The Customer Services Centre (tel: 2124 9600) is located inside the check-in hall and is also open around the clock.
Airport Facilities Money and communications: There are two banks and bureaux de change, as well as a post office and a telecommunications centre. Eating and drinking: There are numerous restaurants and cafeterias throughout the airport, including a drive thru. Shopping: There are several shops at the airport, including tax-free. Luggage: A left-luggage service is available. Other facilities: There is a chapel onsite.
Disabled Facilities The terminal has wheelchair-accessible toilets, ramps and low-level payphones. Reserved parking spaces are available in the car park. Wheelchairs are available on request from the Customer Services Centre (tel: 2124 9600).
Conference and Business Facilities There are three executive lounges at the airport: the Gerolamo Cassar executive lounge, located in Arrivals; the La Valette executive lounge, situated in the Departures lounge, immediately after security control; and the Ewropa Lounge (operated by Air Malta) in the Departures lounge. Internet access is available to lounge users.
Car Hire Car hire companies are located in the Welcomers’ Hall and include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National, Sixt and Thrifty.
Car Parking There are spaces for 650 cars in the car park, which is linked to the main terminal by a walkway. Car hire companies have a separate car park for the collection and return of hired vehicles.
Driving Directions On leaving the airport, take the main road to Marsa, which leads to Valletta. The city centre and airport are both clearly signposted.
Public Transport Road: Taxi: There is a fixed-fare taxi service to all areas of Malta. A taxi booth is located in the Welcomers’ Hall, where pre-paid tickets can be purchased. Bus: Bus no.8 departs regularly to/from Valletta and leaves from a bus stop outside the check-in hall.
