West Edmonton Mall Description: West Edmonton Mall is the largest shopping and entertainment centre in the world, encompassing over 800 retail outlets (including 110 eating places), 26 cinemas and seven theme park attractions. Located in the west end of Alberta’s capital, Edmonton, this huge complex is 48 times the size of a city block and attracts 55,000 visitors a day. The mall has the world’s only indoor bungee jump for the more daring, and other activities on offer include dolphin watching, ice skating and golf. At the Galaxyland theme park, visitors can experience the 14-storey ‘Mindbender’ – a triple-loop rollercoaster and the World Waterpark provides fun in the form of waterslides and wavepools. The Deep Sea Adventure takes visitors in a submarine 122m (335ft) under water to view shipwrecks, coral reef and over 200 species of marine life.
